Sculptures / Barren Landscape ()

Crumpling, then manipulating the print to create the hollow form was the start. Then, I used each pin to pierce the exterior, one-by-one to complete the final look. That process, of shaping the piece incrementally, converted what was a barren landscape into something that is simultaneously crowded, but unforgiving; something that defined the void and, in the process, gave it substance.

Cyanotype print on Kitakata paper, dressmaker pins, acrylic medium.
