More / Work on Paper (Pandemic time)
Each print was created from discarded objects I picked up from my neighborhood at the beginning of the pandemic. I imaginatively arranged the remnants, including smashed parts of a bicycle saddle, rusted garden pins, screws, a broken zipper, and pieces of plastic packaging, on mulberry paper treated with a light-sensitive solution and exposed them under the sun.
The images reveal only structure and trace, stripped of their original appearance. Installed together on the wall, they evoke a time when human activity froze, streets emptied, and the downtown was shrouded in silence and absence.
